FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
We are expanding our department! This is a full-time position, four or five days/week, 32-40 hours/week.
A Physical Therapist plans, organizes and delivers physical therapy treatment plans that help patients recover and improve their functional limitations in movement and mobility, relieve pain, increase strength and prevent disabilities. You are responsible for evaluating, testing, and treating disabilities, injuries and disease using a range of manual therapy, modalities, and exercises as well as providing education and consulting services.
You will treat individuals of all ages with varying diagnosis and disorders. A Physical Therapist follows and adheres to accepted clinical practice guidelines of The Bone & Joint Center:
- Promotes and maintains health by providing physical therapy services; administers treatment programs for patients.
- Utilizes tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions and safeguards.
- Assesses patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and obtaining updating, and studying therapy histories.
- Documents patient care services by charting patient and department records using the electronic Medical Records system.
- Knowledge of and utilizes appropriate age-related treatments and evaluations related to the needs of patients.
- Demonstrate and incorporate knowledge of current research into daily treatment of patient.
- Collaborates with the entire Bone & Joint Center team and provides professional recommendations regarding patient care.
- May be asked to supervise assistants, aides and students as they provide patient care, treatment or other services.
- Expected to attend ongoing education and training to peers in the area of expertise as determined by the Department Supervisor.
- Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises and instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as therapeutic exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities.
- Helps patients in using supportive devices, such as assistive devices, orthotics, and prostheses.
- Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens, and when appropriate, supervises family/significant others in implementing best practices for patients’ condition.
- Reports to the PT Supervisor

Pay: $71,323.00 - $93,600.00 per year

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
The team member is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation) to provide care to patients. Team member will coordinate care, assess patients, do patient education, triage and various other interventions under the direct supervision of the Nurse Supervisor(s) and Orthopaedic Surgeons. The team member will collaborate with physicians and other professionals to implement and evaluate care. Our team becomes experts in mobility, pain control, communicate and motivations.
Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Obtains, verifies, and records health history of patients.
- Assist Orthopaedic Surgeon in the Operating Room.
- Fulfills patient care responsibilities including scheduling and patient flow, assisting patients for exam preparation, charting, and relaying instructions to patients.
- Evaluate, assess and provide treatment under physician’s/Advanced Practice Provider direction.
- Apply and remove splints, casts and dressings.
- Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections as indicated.
- Coordinate patient care with ancillary personnel (physical therapy, occupational therapy, orthotics and prosthetics, appointment scheduling, radiology, surgery scheduling, home health, home infusion and wound care).
- Remove surgical sutures, staples and percutaneous pins. Providing direct patient care and patient and family education
- Must be able to multitask
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others
Candidate must be dependable and willing to work in a high volume clinical setting. Applicant shall have the initiative and motivation to work in a fast paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time 35-45 hours per week
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM
(No weekends, holidays, or call)
Pay: $22.50 - $35.00 per hour
