Part Time

Position Duties:
Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Consistently demonstrates professionalism
  • Welcomes the patient in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Demonstrates helpful and concerned behavior toward all patients.
  • Responds to the needs and questions of all patients in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Respects the privacy of the patient and fellow employees.
  • Takes radiographs.
  • Knows all routines for each physician and keeps up with all changes.
  • Demonstrates skillful positioning to achieve the best quality films on all patients.
  • Demonstrates ability to set proper techniques to achieve the best quality films.
  • Stays current on new positions to better demonstrate an area of concern.
  • Correctly marks films with lead markers indicating body position.
  • Reviews x-rays for proper position, lead marking, name, date, and quality before completing exam.
  • Utilizes proper radiation protection.
  • Uses lead shielding on all patients per department policy.
  • Uses lead shielding on all persons remaining in the room during exposures.
  • Wears TLD badge at all times.
  • Questions female patients of child bearing age on possible pregnancy.
  • If pregnant, question the physician on necessity of x-ray.
  • If x-ray is requested by the physician, the patient is told of all risks and given the option whether or not to continue to be x-rayed.
  • If agreed to be x-rayed, the patient will be triple shielded and a notation will be made in patient chart of such actions.
  • Matntains responsibilities within the department.
  • Maintains national license through the ARRT.
  • Maintains mandatory continuing education requirements.
  • Attends department/clinic wide meetings
  • Other duties and the need arises
Education and/or experience:
  • Must have a high school diploma/GED
  • Must have a graduated from and Accredited Radiology School.
  • Must maintain active Radiology License.
  • Experience in Orthopedic Radiology preferred.
  • Language Skills
  • Must be able to speak and write English.
  • Mathematical Skills
