REGARDING RECENT CHI ST. ALEXIUS NEWS
Dear Valued Patient,
As you may be aware from recent media reports, some physicians on the CHI St. Alexius Health’s Medical Executive Committee have resigned their positions due to concerns with regional leadership. More recently, members of the St. Alexius Peer Review and Credentialing Committees have also resigned in support of the Medical Executive Committee’s position. The Bone & Joint Center also supports the efforts to place quality of service and safety above maximizing CHI corporate profitability. We want to let you know that The Bone & Joint Center is a privately owned organization that is affiliated but NOT run or governed by CHI St. Alexius in any fashion. Our organizations are two entirely separate entities. All the surgeons at The Bone & Joint Center will continue to provide patient care at St. Alexius.
The Bone & Joint Center has been providing care for patients in the upper Midwest for the past 43 years. We are committed to providing the highest quality care possible in our region. We want to assure you that the quality of care and your safety are of the utmost importance and will never be compromised. You can have the confidence that The Bone & Center physicians have direct oversight over your care at St. Alexius and we are devoted in maintaining the highest standards of care possible. No exceptions. This fact is proven by recent data collected that showed 96% of patients would choose to have their total hip or knee replacement again at St. Alexius hospital under the guidance of their Bone & Joint surgeon. Our commitment to excellence is unrelenting and in your favor.
We plan continue to monitor the events at CHI St. Alexius for the weeks to come. If you have any thoughts or questions, please feel free to reach out to your surgeon and inquire. We are here to listen to your concerns and remain your advocate.
We cannot thank you enough entrusting your care with The Bone & Joint Center. Is it an honor and privilege to care for you, your family, and friends.
